My Journey
“If you want to go fast walk alone,
if you want to go far walk together.”
- African Proverb
Ever since my school days I was engrossed in all sorts of crafts and tinkering with objects; from origami to stitching, making cardboard models to glass painting. Crafts and sports have been the foundation of my maker journey.
I pursued animation film design for my undergrad studies from Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). I have been fortunate to be guided towards stop motion animation that helped me hone my storytelling while leveraging my craft skills .

My then graduation project stopmotion short film Incredible India made using tea light wax candles went around the world to be screened at various film festivals, winning many "Best student animated short film" titles, including at the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival.
As I worked in the advertising industry as a freelance set designer I found myself in the need to create something more tangible, functional and with lasting impact. With this ongoing search for meaningful creation I entered the Master of Design course in Industrial Design at National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, pursuing Ceramic and Glass Design.
Little did know that this search will find its spark in a ceramic landfill during an industrial visit. After one year since the ignition of the spark Earth Tatva started taking shape one experiment at a time as a part of my graduation project at NID. Which went ahead and won the prestigious James Dyson Award.
Now after a rigourous journey of innovation to commercialization, to create a long lasting and deeper impact, along with entrepreneurship, I offer academic courses on circular design and social innovation to students of various disciplines.
My purpose is to align students towards social impact so by the time they are young professionals they will be equipped with the understanding to pursue for-profit social innovation.
The course is structured from my practical journey of turning Earth Tatva into a commercial venture from a student project. I also offer sessions on raising awareness about conscious consumption among masses and actively participate in podcasts to share information and catalyze dialogue about design, innovation and materials.

Looking forward to contributing to your positive educational efforts.
